Christmas at the Ranch
December 9, 2017

The “Old Fashioned Christmas at the Ranch” at Anderson Marsh State Historic Park, has been enjoyed by members of the public for many years. Guests experience a Victorian Christmas as we gather in the parlor in front of the fire for Christmas music performed by local musicians, enjoy cookies and hot cider, sing Christmas carols and visit with Santa Claus. In 2016, the event had to be cancelled after the Ranch House was evacuated due to the approach of the disastrous Clayton Fire that devastated the nearby town of Lower Lake. Fortunately, the Ranch House was not damaged by the fire.

With AMIA’s new Partnership with State Parks to clean the interior of the Ranch House and open it once more to public tours, events such as Christmas at the Ranch can once more resume. Please join us on December 9, 2017 as we gather in the historic Anderson Ranch House, sing Christmas carols by the fire and enjoy the warmth of the holiday season.
